Scott Pruneau

For more than 30 years Scott Pruneau has built a well-rounded transportation and logistics leadership career—driving value as a key executive with some of the industry’s most respected organizations. Scott serves as Chief Executive Officer at ITS Logistics and is responsible for the strategic and profitable growth of the company.

Prior to joining ITS Logistics, Scott served as Chief Business Development Officer for Redwood Logistics, EVP of Operations for Freightquote, President of CRST Logistics, and held various leadership roles with Knight Transportation and C.H. Robinson. Scott has also served as a board member for the Transportation Intermediaries Association.

Scott graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1993 from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO, and was a four-year starter on the varsity baseball team. Scott and his wife Missi enjoy hiking, traveling, cooking, playing golf, and spending time with their two adult children.

    The third-party intermediary market has long been divided between non-asset and "asset-light" logistics providers, and there are advantages to both models for logistics companies and shippers. What do shippers need to consider when using asset-based brokers, and where do they best fit? When is it best for a broker to use an owned or leased fleet? If there are advantages, what are the pratfalls to avoid? This panel will explore how we can move from non-asset and asset-light to “asset-right” or even better, “asset smart.”
