We are delighted that Gary D. Cohn will join us for TPM22 after having missed TPM in 2020 following its cancellation due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Since serving as Assistant to the President for Economic Policy and Director of the National Economic Council in 2017 and 2018, he has become vice chairman of IBM, where he works in partnership with IBM’s leadership team on a wide range of initiatives and external engagement. Before serving in the White House, he was president and chief operating officer of Goldman Sachs from 2006-2016. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1990 and held a number of other leadership positions, including global co-head of the Equities and Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities Division, and was a member of the firm’s board of directors. In recent months he has been outspoken on issues such as labor that are core to supply chain challenges, urging actions that would encourage people to re-enter the workforce. At TPM22 Gary will offer his perspective on the short- and long-term impact of supply chain disruption in remarks and a sitdown Q&A with Adam Kansler, president of financial services for IHS Markit.
