Do shippers want the technology platforms they use to manage ocean freight and other activities to be neutral or attached to 3PLs that can provide integrated services? The answer isn’t a binary one across the global container shipping industry. Some shippers are inclined to manage things internally, while others are happy to hand off critical elements of their containerized supply chains to 3PLs.
