Jeffrey Shih is Chief Executive Officer of Taiwan-based Dimerco Express Group, a global logistics services company with 150+ offices, 80 contract logistics operations, and 200+ strategic partner agents throughout China, India, Asia Pacific, North America, and Europe.

Shih’s 35 years of logistics industry experience include leadership roles in both corporate logistics and third-party logistics operations, primarily with Dimerco. He joined Dimerco in 1988 and today oversees the company’s three business divisions: air freight, ocean freight and contract logistics.

Shih’s strategic vision and operational expertise have been instrumental in shaping Dimerco’s rise into one of the world’s leading Asia-based 3PLs. Dimerco’s strategic focus is providing global businesses with the logistics know-how and infrastructure to connect Asia’s logistics and manufacturing hubs – with each other, and with the rest of the world.

    An Asia Perspective on Trump Tariffs, Outsourcing and Global Industry Developments
    Much of the focus on Donald Trump’s re-election in the US has focused on the impact on Asia, and particularly China, from an expected policy of heightened tariffs on US imports. The immediate impact is already in motion as, days after the Nov. 2 election, forwarders were reporting an uptick in bookings ahead of Trump’s Jan. 20 inauguration and the possibility of quick action afterwords. Longer-term, re-sourcing will likely accelerate over a period of years, as it has already, affecting the dynamics of container shipping networks in ways that will impact BCOs’ supply chains well into the future. How do industry stakeholders in Asia view these developments? What do they see as the most important factors BCOs need to keep an eye on? What structural shifts are occurring in Asia that impacts global supply chains? This panel will bring together four senior industry figures, located in Singapore, Shanghai, and Taipei to assess the landscape and offer their perspective on what BCOs need to be mindful of in the global environment headed into 2025.
