Shipper Case Study: How Abercrombie & Fitch Stitched Together a Trio of Supply Chain Partners

Juggling a range of third-party logistics providers, software vendors and data suppliers is pretty standard for shippers these days, but that doesn’t make it easy. As shippers navigate the need to manage transportation, trade compliance, purchase orders, and inventory, it’s a given that they will need to integrate those partners. More than that, they need to know that vendors it uses that might compete on certain fronts can play nice with each other when it comes to serving the need of a single common customer. This case study explores this dynamic through the eyes of one of the US’s most renowned apparel brands as it uses a 3PL and two software vendors for various aspects of managing its supply chain, including insight into managing visibility, routing, sustainability and consolidation/transload processes that required data or applications involving all the partners.
