Export Outlook 2025: Trade Tension Will Dominate

North American exporters will face a variety of challenges in 2025. Freight rates have been stable and won’t likely be the big issue; US export rates to Asia did not see the extreme volatility that affected import rates in 2024. Rather the challenge will be navigating trade tensions under the second Trump administration to the extent that heightened tariffs are imposed and trade partners retaliate. This session, featuring several prominent US exporters, will examine the challenges and potential solutions to the issues the outbound trade will face in the year ahead.
