    Empowering the Future of Trade

Technology has always played a role in enabling global trade, but for one reason or another, the private sector has lagged in its adoption of software to handle key functions like trade compliance, duty minimization, and strategic sourcing. The tools have been out there, but the industry often comes to invest in them from a reactive, rather than proactive position. But the tide is changing, driven both by external dynamics that are harder than ever to manage, and by new technologies that are both more powerful and easier to use than their predecessors. In this session, a shipper on the frontlines of these dynamics queries a trade attorney and a technology vendor about the way in which tech will enable trade in the years to come.
