A New Era of Data Sharing

No man (or woman) is an island, and the same is true in logistics when it comes to data sharing. Even the most ambitious companies in the industry recognize that their ability to excel is generally constrained by the availability, quality and timeliness of data that's largely out of their direct control. As a result, a new atmosphere has emerged in the logistics technology community recent years - an atmosphere driven by the reality data sharing is a must, as opposed to seeing data as something to be guarded within a walled garden. Now the focus is on partnerships, on complementary value, and on the infrastructure to empower real-time data sharing where appropriate. This session brings together a logistics services company, a software vendor, a data infrastructure provider, and an investor to discuss how this new atmosphere translates into impact for the rest of the industry.
