About the Inland Distribution Conference

The Inland Distribution Conference (or Inland24) is a three-day event focused on North American transportation and logistics in the region’s cargo capital of Chicago. Inland24 focuses specifically on the intermodal rail, trucking and air cargo legs of both wholly domestic supply chains as well as those connected to international supply chains that start or terminate at North American seaports, airports and border crossings.

At its core, Inland is a programming-centric conference, with three days of sessions built around mode-, geography-, or category-specific topics determined by the Journal of Commerce editorial team. Tracks for Inland24 will focus on truckload, less-than-truckload, intermodal, cross-border, cargo theft and technology dynamics. Additionally, the popular Inland Academy sessions from 2023 will return, with an expanded set of foundational-level sessions built around key overarching themes impacting North American surface transportation. Another key part of the Inland24 program are regional think tanks focused on important markets such as Chicago, Dallas, Kansas City and Memphis.

New to the program this year are roundtables and sessions designed specifically for freight brokers, forwarders and small motor carriers, and how those segments can better tap into demand from shippers.

The Inland Distribution Conference serves shippers, transportation and logistics providers, 3PLs, equipment providers, and ports -- the entities that move goods from ports to inland destinations and throughout North America using an increasingly complex network of transportation and logistics services.

Inland24 bridges the gap between international supply chains and the North American transportation network, bringing shippers and transportation and logistics providers together to better understand challenges and share solutions.
