Desiree Paoli-Pupillo is a Senior Manager with 37 years’ experience with Walgreens and Reverse Logistic Management. She is responsible for the Reverse Logistics Strategy, execution and planning of End of Life and the Unsaleable Programs. She manages the Return Agreements, Liquidation and Donation programs for more than 9,000 stores and 14 Distribution Centers. Her hands touch over $800 million of product that leave the North American Walgreens stores and distribution centers. She built a Best in Class Reverse Solution for Seasonal and Store Discontinued inventory to maximize financial recovery with KPI’s and Compliance Monitoring while helping the company manage their sustainability goals for waste. This Process has yielded a Net Profit Recovery greater than $2M for the first year and has grown to $6M this year. As a strategic planner she is skilled at developing her team to leverage Data to manage inventory goals and process improvements projects. Desiree is a graduate of Concordia University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Business Management

However, in today’s environment of cost cutting and the embracement of sustainability practices, returns management is floating to the top of many strategic agendas. This session will explore the growth of returns, the use of technology to manage reverse processes, best practices in cost mitigation, and how returns fit within the circular economy and in shippers’ sustainability strategies.
