Emily is the founder and executive director of GiveNKind, a Chicago-based resource rescue nonprofit transforming excess goods into community resources. With over 26% growth in the last year, GiveNKind helps companies seeking economic, social and environmentally sustainable solutions to excess and returned goods. Emily grew up in the family packaging business, has a love for bringing business and charity together, is an avid forklift driver, and TEDx speaker.

    Returns in the Circular Economy
    Managing returns has always been a problem for shippers: They’re difficult to quantify and costly. However, in today’s environment of cost cutting and the embracement of sustainability practices, returns management is floating to the top of many strategic agendas. This session will explore the growth of returns, the use of technology to manage reverse processes, best practices in cost mitigation, and how returns fit within the circular economy and in shippers’ sustainability strategies.
