Chief of Police, Public Safety and Infrastructure Protection
Named CSX’s chief of police, public safety, and infrastructure protection in 2017, Sean Douris is responsible for overseeing the CSX Police Department and Public Safety Coordination Center as well as coordinating with local, state and federal agencies on infrastructure security.
A former sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, Douris began his law enforcement career with the Orange Park (Fla.) Police Department, where he served eight years before pursuing a railroad career. He was manager of intermodal equipment distribution prior to joining the CSX police.
Douris holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of North Florida and a master’s degree in human resources from Webster University. He chairs the Railroad Policing section of the International Association of Chiefs of Police and is a board member for Operation Lifesaver.
