Tyler Billeg serves as the Director of Safety and Recruiting at Ascent Global Logistics, a leading global provider of expedited, time-critical logistics solutions and other direct transportation services. In addition to fleet safety and recruiting, Tyler oversees all ground fleet operations for the company. Tyler joined Ascent in 2022 with a six-year tenure leading safety and recruiting teams, focused on bolstering the ground fleet and driving process efficiency.

Tyler graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Science degree and is an alum of the Ohio Trucking Association’s LEAD OTA program. He is passionate about the logistics industry and is a major advocate of educating students on the benefits of driving and entering the industry to begin their careers.

    When Expedited Shipments Add Up to Savings
    Expedited shipments are often perceived as expensive and used as a last resort. But, done correctly, these types of shipments can bring cost-effective and sustainable changes to an organization. Understanding the outcome needed instead of focusing on the mode of transportation is important. Shippers need solutions that cross all modes and that fill all the gaps within their supply chains. This session will explore what expedited services are, how and why they should be included in transportation strategies, and ways to use expedited services in a sustainable manner.
