What is TPM?

  • WHAT IS TPM?

    TPM (formerly Trans-Pacific Maritime but now officially abbreviated) is a global conference bringing together cargo owners/shippers/BCOs with international logistics service providers including ocean carriers, ocean and air forwarders, third-party logistics, marine terminals, ports, truckers, railroads, banks and others.

  • WHO SHOULD ATTEND TPM?

    Anyone whose business touches on or intersects with the international movement of containerized or air cargo volumes.

Registration

  • HOW CAN I TELL IF I'M A SHIPPER?

    If you are the owner of the goods that are being transported, then you are considered a Beneficial Cargo Owner or Shipper. Shippers are typically retailers, manufacturers and importers/exporters. If you do not fall under any of those categories, you would be considered a non-shipper. If you still have questions regarding this, please submit your query on the Events Help.
  • WHO DO I CONTACT IF I AM HAVING A PROBLEM WITH MY REGISTRATION?

    Contact the Journal of Commerce Events Team at the Events Help and a representative will respond to your query within 24 hours.
  • I HAVE A DISCOUNT CODE; HOW CAN I REDEEM IT?

    You will be asked to enter your discount code on the “Order Summary” payment page.
  • HOW CAN I DO GROUP REGISTRATIONS?

    Before completing your registration on the “Registration Summary”, please select “Add Group Member” button at the bottom of the registration form.
  • I CAN’T PROCESS MY PAYMENT DURING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS

    We can only accept American Express, Visa and MasterCard credit cards for payment. If you require assistance, please contact Events Help.
  • AM I ENTITLED TO THE JOURNAL OF COMMERCE GOLD SUBSCRIBER ATTENDEE DISCOUNT?

    If you are an existing Journal of Commerce Gold subscriber you are eligible for a 20% discount on a conference pass for TPM. In order to obtain your discount code, please contact the Events Help. We will check your subscription status before approving your TPM registration. Your Journal of Commerce Subscription needs to be active before your TPM registration in order to qualify for the discount.
  • I WANT TO BECOME A JOURNAL OF COMMERCE GOLD SUBSCRIBER TO GET THE TPM DISCOUNT, HOW CAN I DO THIS?

  • REFUND TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    S&P Global Market Intelligence (SPGMI) offers a cancellation plan. These Refund Terms set forth the conditions for when you may be eligible to receive a refund, which is the full program fee. SPGMI will not be held liable for any costs incurred by registrant due to individual registration cancellation.

    Refunds will not be provided to anyone registered who does not attend the event for any reason, invoices are issued as client registers and are due even if client doesn't attend. With approval, seats may be transferred up to 48 hours or 2 days before the event with notice in writing to Events Help.

    *Please note that S&P Global has the right to refuse or cancel a registration. Refunds will be given for S&P Global cancelled registrations.*

    • Refund requests will be honored if received in writing by January 1, 2025. 
    • All refunds will be subject to a $100 processing fee.
    • Cancellations received after January 1, 2025 and 'no shows' will be subject to the full conference rate. 
    • Substitutions may be made by contacting Events Help
    • You must provide the name, title, and contact information for the person you are substituting.
    • For credit card payments, we can only accept American Express, Visa or Mastercard.

  • HOW DO I APPLY FOR A VISA LETTER?

    Once you have registered to attend TPM, you will receive the confirmation email upon registration. If you need an invitation letter, please submit your query on the Events Help

    Please note that TPM does not provide visas and that you must apply through the relevant embassy.

  • I’D LIKE MORE INFORMATION ON THE GOLF TOURNAMENT.

    Now in its ninth year, the TPM Golf Open features more than 100 golfers competing in a four-person scramble (best ball) event at one of Southern California's premier courses. Prizes and networking reception are included. Places are limited and on first come, first served basis.

    Fee: $320; this can be added during event registration, while space is available 

    Date: Sunday, 3 March – Registration at 7:30 AM; Shotgun Tee Time at 8:30 AM 

    Location: Pelican Hill Golf Club, Newport Coast, CA

  • I’D LIKE MORE INFORMATION ON THE TPM CUP REGATTA.

    Returning for its fourth year, the TPM Challenge Cup features on-the-water team building, networking, and competitive racing aboard the famous fleet of Catalina 37 racing yachts owned by the Long Beach Sailing Foundation and used in internationally prestigious regattas such as the Congressional Cup. The Los Angeles Yacht Club, the body officiating the regatta, presents the historic Morrow Cup to the winning team.

    Selected Partners of TPM can purchase a boat sponsorship, in order to take part in this exciting race, alongside their clients and colleagues. S&P Global will also have a boat taking part, and participation on board is by invitation only.   • CAN I SHARE A REGISTRATION WITH MY COLLEAGUE?

    Sharing of badges is not permitted. Unauthorized badge usage will result in immediate dismissal of you and/or your company from the event without refund.

  • WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE REGISTRATION FEE?

    The registration fee includes:

  • WHAT ARE THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR REGISTRATION AND ATTENDANCE AT TPM?

    TPM Terms and Conditions can be found here. The Code of Conduct for Conferences & Events can be found here. Please note the following:

    • Attendance at TPM requires attendees to treat others professionally and with respect 
    • If you encounter any disruptive or upsetting behavior, please notify us immediately at the registration or information desks
    • Unacceptable behavior or language will result in immediate dismissal from the event without refund 
    • Badges are required for access to all session rooms, partner meeting rooms, TPM Café, and receptions; badges are required for entry to the lower level of the Hyatt and all entrances to the Long Beach Convention Center 
    • Badges must be properly displayed at all times
    • Sharing of badges is not permitted
    • There is a $50 fee for any badge reprints
    • Unauthorized badge usage will result in immediate dismissal of you and/or your company from the event without refund
  • WHY IS MY PHOTO REQUESTED DURING REGISTRATION?

    Your TPM badge will include your photo as an added level of security. Please upload your photo during the registration process or modify your registration to include your photo. If you have not entered a photo, plan to arrive at the registration desk early to have one taken.

  • WHAT INFORMATION WILL BE DISPLAYED ON MY BADGE, AND HOW CAN I CHANGE IT?

    Your badge will include your full name, company, location (city, state, country), and photo. To modify your information, click here then “Already Registered.” You may also review and adjust your badge information at the registration desk upon check-in.

  • HOW CAN I REPORT A CODE OF CONDUCT CONCERN OR DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR?

    Please bring any concerns to the immediate attention of S&P Global conference or event staff at the registration or information desks. You may also report violations of this Code of Conduct through the S&P Global Compliance Hotline. This hotline allows for reporting in a variety of languages through a secure web-based reporting tool or by calling +1-866-294-3538. Reports will be treated as confidential to the extent allowed by law.

  • HOW CAN I CONNECT WITH OTHER TPM ATTENDEES FOR 1:1 MEETINGS?

    TPM is an ideal place to meet and network. You can use the TPM24 app to connect with other attendees and request meetings.

  • IS THERE A PLACE TO HOLD MEETINGS DURING TPM?

    Located on the lower ground floor of the Long Beach Conventions Center, “The Hub” is the TPM24 meeting venue containing multiple spaces to have meetings, including table reservations at the TPM Café, private partner meeting suites, and open tables. Visit the TPM24 app for more information.

  • HOW CAN I FIND TPM ATTENDEES WITH SIMILAR INTERESTS?

    Visit the TPM24 app and click “recommended for you” in the navigation bar to view attendees with similar interests.

Agenda Sessions and Tracks

  • WHERE CAN I FIND THE TPM AGENDA AND ACTIVITIES?

    The TPM program, including the full agenda and all related public activities, is available on the TPM website here. Approximately two weeks prior to the conference, it also will be available on the TPM app, which you can download to your mobile device.

  • WHAT IS TPM ACADEMY?

    Now in its second year, TPM Academy is a series of 45-minute educational sessions held during TPM offering a practical introduction and overview of key subjects that international trade professionals typically encounter in their day-to-day responsibilities. Led by seasoned professionals with deep knowledge and experience, each session provides attendees with a conceptional and practical understanding that will make dealing with these issues much easier in the real world.

  • WHAT IS TPM COLD CHAIN?

    TPM Cold Chain is a special breakout track focusing on the global refrigerated cold chain. Over the course of eight sessions TPM Cold Chain will feature participation from the major carriers, cold storage providers, trucking companies, and the major forwarders and BCOs in this space.

  • WHAT IS TPM TECH?

    Over the course of three days, TPM Tech will provide a mix of practical information, senior-level one-on-ones, and case studies exploring how shippers and their service providers are using technology to alleviate or resolve real-life supply chain challenges. It's the forum to take a big-picture look at the future, all tightly integrated across the footprint of TPM.

  • ARE THERE OTHER SPECIAL SESSIONS OR RECEPTIONS I SHOULD BE AWARE OF?

    Yes! Start your TPM experience early on Sunday by participating in the TPM Golf Open, a best-ball outing at the prestigious Pelican Hill Golf Club, or by taking in the TPM Challenge Cup, featuring on-the-water team building, networking, and competitive racing aboard the famous fleet of Catalina 37 yachts owned by the Long Beach Sailing Foundation. First-time attendees can prepare for the intensive three days to follow by attending the TPM Orientation on Sunday afternoon. A special Tuesday reception, part of a vibrant networking schedule, will celebrate women in shipping and International Women’s Day.
