Ingrid Irigoyen is the Associate Director, Ocean and Climate, for the Aspen Institute Energy and Environment Program (EEP), where she leads EEP’s work at the ocean-climate nexus and serves as a strategic advisor and facilitator for multi-stakeholder initiatives seeking to address climate, ocean, and coastal challenges. Her responsibilities include serving as Director of the Aspen Institute’s Shipping Decarbonization Initiative and is the lead facilitator for Cargo Owners for Zero Emission Vessels (coZEV), a coalition of major multinational consumer products companies and other freight buyers working to accelerate the pace of decarbonization in maritime shipping. Ingrid is also the President and CEO of the Zero Emission Maritime Buyers Alliance (ZEMBA), a coZEV initiative to enable companies to come together for advanced market commitments to zero-emission shipping solutions that are not currently available.
