Shawn Tureman is Vice President Automotive and Intermodal Marketing at Norfolk Southern Corporation, one of the nation’s premier transportation companies. Norfolk Southern connects customers to markets and communities to economic opportunity, with safe, reliable, and sustainable shipping solutions. The company’s network spans 22 states, every major container port in the eastern United States, and a majority of the U.S. population and manufacturing base.
Appointed to lead Automotive & Intermodal Marketing in 2021, Tureman is responsible for Norfolk Southern’s business focusing on moving the parts that build automobiles, completed vehicles, and the company’s domestic and international intermodal enterprise.
Tureman joined Norfolk Southern in 1998 in Intermodal Marketing. He has since served as Director Intermodal Yield & Planning, Director Intermodal, Group Vice President Intermodal, and Group Vice President Chemicals.
Tureman earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Anthropology from the University of Virginia. He has also earned his Masters in Transport and Maritime Management from the University of Antwerp and his MBA from Old Dominion University.
